



| Unicoi County I-26 Welcome Center Opened |

The facility, located off Exit 46 on Interstate 26, has been open to the public since February, an official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the Unicoi County Welcome Center to coincide with National Tourism Week. State and local officials and legislators were on hand to laud the efforts of that brought the center to the county and the facility itself. The rustic cabin-like 4,374-square-foot center sits on around 65 acres of land surrounded by mountains and the scenic view surrounding it provides a showcase of what people can expect while traveling through East Tennessee.
